Ciaran O’Leary here (‘Big C’ to my friends!), and on behalf of both Paddy Power Poker and myself, I would like to welcome you to my personal corner of Ireland’s biggest and best poker destination. Thank you for choosing to visit!

I’ve been playing poker for over twenty years and have won my fair share of tournaments. My biggest win to date was capturing of a World Series of Poker gold bracelet and over $725,000 in 2007 when I outlasted a huge field of almost 3,000 players (one of the largest live tournaments ever), including many of the world’s top professionals, to take down the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em Event 3.

Now that you’ve found the part of paddypowerpoker.com I call my own, what can you expect? Well, for a start my official blog will be available here, which I’ll update on a regular basis. I’ll share how I became the poker player I am now, my road to the World Series of Poker 2007 and my big win, let you know the behind-the-scenes story from some of the world’s biggest and most prestigious tournaments and of course keep you up to date as I try to capture more bracelets and titles from all corners of the world!

I’m also going to add various strategy articles and instructional videos, sharing such tips as the best way to prepare for a poker session, how to spot the sharks amongst the fish and how to play various hands and situations. The video clips will be targeted at beginner, intermediate and advanced players, so everyone will have something to learn I hope! By providing strategy and tips I’ll help eliminate some of the bad habits all poker players have and guide players back to the path towards a more solid and consistent style of poker – this should also bring a better understanding of the game and a lot more excitement!
