Nomadic poker enigma Martin ′The Butcher′ Dunne has made a name for himself this year by playing in every event on the 2006 paddypowerpoker.com UK Poker Tour. Martin qualified for the first leg in Edinburgh on paddypowerpoker.com and hasn′t looked back since. Competing in all six legs Martin has made two final tables and many more friends.
The 43 year old butcher from Navan, Co. Meath, learnt the ropes playing draw poker when he was growing up and started playing online in 2004. So how does he explain his success on the tour? "We still have a big family game once a month – brothers in law, wives, sisters, brothers and my mother, they all play – its a real tough field to get through, the UKPT events are a breeze compared to the family game!"

Champion Qualifier Irish Open 2006
Pat scooped €12,500 package to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas by outlasting all other online qualifiers at the Paddy Power Poker Irish Open. Forty nine players qualified for the Irish Open main event through paddypowerpoker.com but only one prevailed. Pat had his eye on the final table and played some incredible poker. Despite on several occasions have assured his place as "Paddy Last" he continued to raise and re-raise, keeping his eye on the prize.
