Very Important Customer Service Announcement
The following email contains important information about the introduction of our Held Funds mechanism. This will affect the way you withdraw your poker winnings so read this mail carefully to familiarize yourself with how this will affect you. |
♠ What are Held Funds?
To help combat online credit/debit card fraud and money laundering we have introduced what is known as Held Funds. Held funds are part of your total cash balance and relate to your poker winnings in the previous 72 hours.
As a result of this, any profits arising from poker sessions will not be immediately withdrawable, instead they will be held in your poker wallet for a period of 72 hours. You can however use these funds at the poker table - click here for more informaton....
♣ Who will held Funds affect?
If you are a new poker player, your poker winnings will be subject to the Held Funds mechanism.
All we want to do is get to know you a little better. After a period of 30 days, assuming we have verified all of your details you will no longer be subject to the held funds mechanism.
♥ How does Held Funds work and how does it affect you?
When you play on paddypowerpoker your winnings are held and released after a period of 72 hours. Here's where we do a bit of role playing to help explain how it works....
Imagine it's a Sunday evening, and you are sitting at a poker table with $100, you have a winning session and you leave the table at 5pm with $160.
♠ $160 is returned to your poker wallet (see image 1 below)
♣ $60 of this is restricted by the held funds mechanism (see image 2 below) – this $60 can be withdrawn after a period of 72 hours, or 5pm on Wednesday.

Later that evening you decide to take on the poker tables again and you sit at a table with $100 and think to yourself this is easy, again you have a winning session and leave the table at 9pm with $200.
♠ $200 is returned to your poker wallet and added to your existing balance (see image 1 above).
♥ $160 is restricted by the held funds mechanism (see image 2 above).
♣ $60 of this money was originally won at 5pm so this portion of held funds is withdrawable at 5pm Wednesday as per above.
♠ $100 will be withdrawable at 9pm Wednesday.
